The Market @Weslaco. Our mission is to provide opportunities for farmers to sell and consumers to buy produce directly from each other. By doing this, the Market increases the local food supply and production, and hopes to create, expand and enhance the economic strength and viability of farmers in south Texas while also contributing to the health and wealth of valley residents. The Valley has been blessed with a amazing growing season yet most of our fruits and vegetables we buy in super markets come from thousands of miles away.
This is where The Market comes in to save the day. Having accesses to locally grown and raised products gives us food that is thousands of miles better, strengthens our economy, and most importantly helps keep our community healthy.
