The Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library began registering for its Summer Reading Program today. The five week program is free of charge and will be open to children ages 18 months to 17 years of age. This years Summer Reading Program will run June 7th to July 12th and is based on an “underground” theme. Participants will take part in learning about science and technology and will participate in arts and crafts and culinary classes.

The public is invited to kick off the program on Friday June 7th at 6:30 p.m. with a magic show by comedian, magician and illusionist John O’Bryant.

“Our goal is to encourage children and teens of all ages to continue reading throughout the summer in order for them to preserve and increase the reading skills they have attained throughout the school year,” says Library Director, Letty Leija.
