1/12 - Sounds of Splendor of Mexico - Edinburg

Performances of the Mariachi's "Sounds and Splendor of México," will take place on Jan. 9-11, 2014 at 7:00 pm and Jan. 11 and 12, 2014 at 3 pm. Tickets for all concerts are $10 at the door and will be available at the theater's box office one hour before the shows. Seating is limited so it is advised to reserve seats ahead of time.

The University of Texas-Pan American invites the public to ring in the New Year with the pageantry and beauty of the Mariachi tradition. The University's Department of Music presents the mariachi, which captured first place in the university category at the 2013 Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza competition in San Antonio, in its Spring concerts at the Albert L. Jeffers Theatre.  The concerts will also feature performances by the Luz de Luna Folkloric Dance Ensemble. For reservations call (956) 665-2175.
