1/31-5/3 - Alegria 2013 - McAllen, Harlingen, Brownsville

The Ballet Folklorico’s performance season in the Valley will open on Jan. 31 with an exclusive premiere dinner and show at 6 p.m. at the McAllen Country Club and follow with a premiere viewing of ALEGRIA Temporada 2013 at the McAllen Civic Auditorium. Persons interested in attending the dinner show should R.S.V.P. by Jan. 24 to Dora Brown, committee chair, at (956) 632-3589. Tickets for the event are $75 per person.

Concerts will continue at the McAllen Civic Auditorium Feb. 1 and 2. Next, the company will be at Harlingen Municipal Auditorium for a performance on Feb. 8. On Thursday, Feb. 14, the company will present ALEGRIA Temporada 2013 to the Brownsville community at the UTB/TSC Arts Center.

 All shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the McAllen Civic Auditorium concert will be available through www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. Tickets for the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium will be available through www.harlingenarts.com or (956) 216-5990. Tickets for the UTB/TSC Arts Center in Brownsville will be available through www.utbtickets.com or by calling (956) 882-8587. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the concerts. Ticket prices will range from $10 to $15.

The season was extended to include a May 3rd performance at the Weslaco ISD Performance Arts Center at 506 E 6th St. at 7:30 p.m.
