3/22 - Texas Onion Fest - Weslaco

Texas Onion Fest will take place on March 22, 2014 at Weslaco City Park, 300 N. Airport Drive

The festivities kick off on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., with live music on two stages and the lively "Onion Eating Contests". The fun will last all day with music performances on the Main Stage, a Kids Zone, two performances by the Dancing Horses, Arts & Crafts, cooking demonstrations at the Culinary Center, and so much more. 

 

Gate admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children, and children under 3 are free. Advance tickets are available at 275 S. Kansas Blvd., Weslaco, TX. Parking is free.

 

Gate entrances are at Airport Drive and Paseo del Norte. The east side parkinglot near Airport Drive is designated for vehicles with handicap permits.

 

Festival information and maps will be available at the Information Booth at Texas Onion Fest. The booth will be selling festival T-shirts and answering your questions. No outside food or beverages, pets, or weapons are allowed.

Purchase Onion Fest T-Shirts at the Weslaco Business Visitor Center or the Information Booth at Texas Onion Fest. Shirts are available in Children’s Sizes for $10 each and Adult Sizes Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large for $10 each.. Size XXL priced at $12.

 

Weslaco City Park is located at 300 N. Airport Drive in Weslaco.

Directions:

From the West:
Travel west on Expressway 83 towards Weslaco, exit Texas Blvd and drive south; turn left at Pike Blvd, then right at Paso Del Norte.

From the East:
Travel east on Expressway 83 towards Weslaco, exit Airport Dr and drive south; turn right at Pike Blvd, then left at Paso Del Norte.

To Access Handicap Parking:
Travel on Expressway 83 towards Weslaco, exit Airport Dr, drive south, and turn right at the park entrance.
