This year's Turkey Trot 10K, 5K and 1M Kids Run will take place at Bentsen Palm Community Park in Mission on Thursday, November 28th at 8:00 a.m.
Fees are $20 per person and $15 per student w/ ID or a group member from a group of 10 or more.

11/2 - Veteran's Parade - Edinburg

The City of Edinburg, in conjunction with the Dustin Michael Sekula Memorial Library, H-E-B and American Legion Post No. 408, invite the public to help honor veterans of all wars.
The parade route begins at the Hidalgo County Town Square, running south on Closner Boulevard and ending at the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District Cats Stadium, 1800 S. Stadium Drive.

The deadline to be a parade participant is Thursday, October 31. Competitive floats will be judged under the “most patriotic” category. Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place winners.

Veterans Day Parade applications are available via the library website or can be picked up at the library, 1906 S. Closner Blvd. For more information, call the library at 956-383-6246.

On Saturday, November 2nd, the National Butterfly Center in Mission will be open for free to the public from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
