The South Texas Outdoor Life Festival is on Saturday, October 12th from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park. Activities include a 5K Run, 10K Cross-Country Run, 35 Mile Bike Race, Kayak Race, and a 20 Mile Mountain Bike Race.
7:30 am · 5K Run — $15 pre-registration fee ($20 after October 4th, 2013)

9:30 am · 35 Mile Bike Race — $25 pre-registration fee ($30 after October 4th, 2013)
Be part of the best organized and safest cycling race in the RGV! This enthusiast race is designed to give riders a chance to test their biking skills in a safe, fun and competitive environment. The race will take place at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. and will bring out Mission’s Fire and Police Department for the safety and protection of our participants.
1:00 pm · Kayak Race — $25 pre-registration fee ($30 after October 4th, 2013)
Get ready for some competitive paddling as you test your kayaking skills in the exclusive kayak race to be held at Bentsen-RGV State Park in Mission, TX on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1 p.m. Kayaks and life vests will be provided for all participants.
4:00 pm · 20 Mile Mountain Bike Race – $25 pre-registration fee ($30 after October 4th, 2013)
Competitors prepare yourselves to push your limits and test your biking skills against other top notch mountain bike racers at Mission’s Hike and Bike Trails on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 4 p.m.
Our Top Competitors will be awarded
1. Iron Man or Iron Woman Award: 5K, 35-Mile Bike Race, Kayak Race, 20-Mile Mountain Bike Race
2. Mar y Tierra Award: 10k Cross-Country Run, Kayak Race
3. 2- Wheel Champion Award: 35 Mile Bike Race, 20 Mile Mountain Bike Race
4. Awards will be given out after each event
